libby is my best, best, friend from childhood.  we used to torture our mothers with our crazy antics (they say pay back is hell, so we are preparing ourselves now for when our girls are bigger)!

this is libby and riley playing patty cake.  without giving away too much personal info, riley is a little miracle.  riley is doing better than many expected when she was born, but every day holds its own challenge.  riley and the entire family can use everyone's prayers and good vibrations. libby is an amazing mother that appreciates every little moment that she has with both of her girls.  i only wish i could say that i would be as brave and such a strong anchor to my family if i were in libby's situation.

emory has changed so much since her newborn debut on our blog. here she is as a newbie!  i love this photo it cracks me up...it is really hard work picking your head up at such a young age!

here is sweet little emory now!  she is 7 months old.

this is david and his 3rd grandson, elliot.  we have really enjoyed getting to know the entire family through our past photo sessions.  these two cuties are david's daughter's sons.

i am almost out the door to our first spring wedding (there is a major thunderstorm going on right now, rain and hail are pouring down).  "they" say that it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day.  katie and grady are going to be very lucky!

this is mimi's grandmother.  she came all the way from thailand to visit. 

i was thrilled when art + gwen asked sara and i to come photograph their family at their beautiful mountain house in lenoir (aka-sherwood forest).  they are tim's aunt + uncle and we don't get together often enough, so it was great to see them.  tim's cousins were also visiting from dc and texas, so we did a big family session.
