we got to check out the st. patty's day parade, catch some cabbages, and score some beads while in new orleans for anna and christian's wedding....and no we did not have to "do anything" to get beads!

weddings unveiled is a gorgeous publication that features a lot of real weddings in north and south carolina.  we were thrilled when unveiled wanted to feature raj and vineeta's traditional indian wedding in their magazine.  the beautiful ceremony was at the Duke gardens in durham, nc and the reception followed at Washington duke inn and golf club. it was so wonderful to work with such an amazing couple and to experience the indian culture and ceremonies.  the exquisite details and vibrant colors were a photographers dream!   an added perk was the delicious food...yummy!  we got to spend 4 days with raj and vineeta's family while covering the mendhi, the garba-raas, the ceremony and the reception.  we felt like part of the family by the end of the reception!

last spring sara and mel were on the cover of the premiere issue of signature magazine and one of their images was used in an article about picnicing on the grounds of vanlandingham estate.  the premiere issue focused on entrepreneurship and inspiration.  mel and sara were blown away that they were asked to be on the cover.   as a photographer you are more accustomed to being asked to shoot the cover.  : )

part of my internship at whitebox has been to scan in magazine articles in which sara and melanie's photography was featured. This photographic essay was featured in a recent issue of nc signature magazine. They shot the stevens center in downtown winston-salem(where i am from!). They did an incredible job considering the light in there was so dim. take a look:
