it was windy and chilly on the day of mehan + rohan's shoot but they toughed it out!  the weather has been crazy this month but the cherry blossoms were in bloom and the sun was setting so it was the perfect time to shoot.  i'll let the pictures say the rest- it's late and we're off to wilmington bright and early to shoot a wedding!

sweet little siri:

i love this plant that siri is laying in.  is was nice and soft and not itchy like grass.  does anybody know what it is called?

we got to shoot this awesome family on our recent trip to washington dc.  meet lisl, stoehr, kieran, kaden and kohler ( and yes, we practiced their names 50 times on the drive up)!  they were so great to work with and lisl is a photographer too so she had lots of great ideas.  be prepared, we had tons of favorites!

of course, we had to do some with mom + dad. i love these.

these boys are so cute. heartbreakers, I tell ya. this is kohler and we love that he likes to play beatles songs on his guitar- and he's only 12.  seriously.

we got to check out the st. patty's day parade, catch some cabbages, and score some beads while in new orleans for anna and christian's wedding....and no we did not have to "do anything" to get beads!

things have been pretty busy around whitebox these days!   last month we went to new Orleans for anna and Christian's fabulous wedding.   then we traveled to d.c. and Maryland for a couple of shoots (we will be posting them soon!).  melanie bought the house across the street from me, so we had to relocate her home office and residence.  then, one day we spent 6 hours in ikea buying furniture for our new studio space that is in the works (more news on that later).  we also hired an new photoshop guru and album designer (she is awesome!  we will introduce her soon.  she is going to make our turnaround time so much faster, yipee!).  we did all of this plus the 20 sessions and 3 weddings that we have had in the past 30 days!  whew. 

next week we are taking a little tour of the south east.  we are leaving bright and early monday morning to go to asheville, cullowhee, nashville, greenville, charleston, and charlotte.  we will be blogging from the road, so keep checking back!  we have 5 loveshoots and one wedding that we are going to be shooting on this "tour"!

they started their wedding day with a brunch of new orleans delectables at galatoire's in the french quarter.

mel and i found these little guys at a voo doo shop in the quarter.  we gave them to anna and christian as a little wedding present.  : )  don't worry they are good voo doo!

we had to do a shot with this cool mask! 

this is rosie's jazz hall where the wedding and reception were held. 

anna and christian had awesome music, the soul rebels brass band, and a grand exit.  they danced the second line out the door, complete with umbrellas and guest waving white hankies.  it was so cool!
