loveshoot: vineeta + raj
jet setters land in durham:
raj flew in from san fran and vineeta traveled from d.c. to meet us at her alma mater, duke university, for their loveshoot. these two have a busy couple of months leading up to their wedding at the duke gardens and the washington and duke inn. vineeta is a lawyer, but in her "spare time" she will be moving to san francisco. She will also be flying to india to buy all of the fabric and garments for 22 members of the wedding party. Don't forget that she has to get several outfits for herself and raj for all of the traditional indian ceremonies they will have during their celebrations! raj will be working hard at his company and taking care of the state-side details. they will definitely be ready for their honeymoon!
even with all of the stress of planning an out of town wedding, they still have time to have fun!

here they are in front of the gorgeous duke chapel.

taking a sunset stroll on campus.

we are so excited to be a part of raj and vineeta's wedding. this will be our first indian wedding. we have been studying up about the traditions by watching some great bollywood films like monsoon wedding and bride and prejudice, as well as eating indian food any chance we get!
almost heaven, west virginia
on father's day weekend tim and I went up to my aunt & uncle's house in baker, west virginia for our annual father's day picnic. this year, I brought along my camera and did a "day in the life" shoot for their family. we had a fantastic, relaxing weekend and we can't wait till next year!
uncle john, aunt sid and kasey
i tried to catch a few of leah while she wasn't watching but she caught me!
the many faces of brett

oh, to be a kid in the summer!
it took a lot of convincing to get sara to hold this snake. don't worry- it was dead :)
now, on to my favorite part- riding the 4 wheelers! yee-haw!
country roads, take me home......
loveshoot: keri + max
meet keri and max. max was soooo excited when keri told him that he was finally going to get to meet us. max was really looking forward to the shoot!

keri flew in from austin, tx and max is stationed at fort bragg, so we met up in chapel hill for their loveshoot.

my favorite time of day, 30 minutes before sunset. look at this gorgeous light.
gotta love red hot heels!

what a funky wall!

max was hysterical. actually, a lot of my shots were blurry because i was laughing at him and his antics which created camera shake!

keri and max are getting married in jamaica, but sadly we were already booked on their date. we thought this shot kinda looked like the jamaican landscape with the bright tropical colors and the lush foliage....well it is as close as you can get in north carolina!
keri and max we hope you have an amazing wedding in jamaica. we wish we could go! : )
the big day: kristen + lee
you might recognize kristen + lee from our website and blog- they are all over the place!
they tied the knot last weekend at the beautiful daniel stowe botanical gardens. we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting or a more laid back bride and groom!
we had fun with the shoes and rings while kristen was getting her makeup done- which by the way looked amazing! chris lanston was the makeup artist (makeupmaster01@aol.com).
they have gorgeous turquoise walls in their loft
you can never have too many shoes or shoe shots!

there were so many "getting ready" shots that I loved, i had a hard time choosing just one!
a toast before the ceremony
last moment as miss.jones!
love the pink and orange!

they're hitched!

first dance
yummy cupcakes
happy family
sweet ride

congratulations! you guys have been fantastic to work with since day one! we wish you all the best!
the big day: carrie + eric
carrie + eric got married at the beautiful john's river valley camp near blowing rock. when i say "near" blowing rock, I mean 11 miles straight down a very bumpy dirt road. this is in the sticks folks, no cell phone service, the whole nine yards. i think you could officially call this place "down in the holler". it was the perfect place to get away from it all and hang out with friends and family... and since carrie is an art director it became the swankiest camp around! this girl knows how to get the details right!

all the kids (young and old) had a great time playing in the river on the morning of the wedding
i couldn't resist taking this shot!
susan johnson smith ( susan-johnson@triad.rr.com) did the reception decor and it was amazing! if anyone is looking for a stylist she's your girl! we also want to give a shout out to the farmer's wife who did an amazing job on the flowers- and to sweet basils (basilandmelon@yahoo.com) who kept us fed all weekend. the food was delicious and they make a mean potato salad!
i love this shot of carrie's dad
thanks guys! we had an awesome time!
