loveshoot: maria + adrian
the oceana pier at Atlantic beach was an awesome place to shoot! melanie and i arrived in time to take a little walk on the beach and enjoy some sunshine before it was time to get down to business. adrian was a little camera shy at first, but I think that he looks pretty happy getting cozy with his stunning bride to be!

maria has amazing eyes. not only is she gorgeous, but she is a super talented wedding planner! we are so excited to shoot maria and adrian's wedding this fall.

after playing on the beach we went for a boat ride at sunset. the wedding party is going to take to 2 yachts from the church to the reception site. this is a family that loves the water! the reception will be in morehead city at adrian's parents beautiful soundside home.

after the sun set, mel and I had to hit the road and head to our next stop, the washington and duke inn and golf course for courtney and geoff's wedding. stay tuned for pics!
the big day: erin + joel
erin + joel's wedding was at the fabulous stonefield cellars. this was their very first wedding there but you never would have guessed it. everything went off without a hitch! they have a really cute old farmhouse on the property where everyone got ready.
the flowers were very cool. the rosemary in joel's boutonniere smelled so good! (contact dennycrowe@hotmail.com for more info)

one more of the flowers, just because i liked them so much
erin + joel's wedding had a lot of personal touches. she made these cute lanterns herself, as well as the bridesmaid's jewelry.
we set up a polaroid photobooth/guestbook at the entrance to the ceremony- it was a big hit! joel is a teacher, so we went with the school theme.
photobooth in action. joel's brother kept it rollin' for us!
the custom polaroid guestbook. the photos just slide right in!
ok, now on to the wedding! the guys were stylin' in their socks.
erin, beautiful as always!
heading down the path with dad. just as they approached the ceremony, it started to thunder- very dramatic!

the happy couple right afterwards. as soon as we clicked the shutter the sky just dumped on us. it was pouring! sara and I sprinted towards the tent and sara kept yelling, "the bride needs an umbrella"! i thought she might tackle someone!
the rain cleared after about 45 minutes and cooled everything off. it made everything look misty, which was really nice.
the cutest ringbearer ever.
and the sweetest flower girls. erin + joel had fun games at the reception for all the kids (and grown-ups) to play with.
my favorite shot of the day. i couldn't decide which one I liked better- the B+w or the color. leave your vote in the comments box below, and erin and joel will get a free print of the winner!

first dance
all of the ladies participated in the bouquet toss and whoever caught it got a bottle of wine. i thought that was a really nice idea.
tired groom :)
congrats erin + Joel, you guys are awesome! hope you had a great time on the cruise!
the big day: stacy + brent
the evening was perfect. beautiful weather, a great location, delicious food, an awesome band, and a gorgeous bride and groom.
stacy and brent opted for a very small ceremony with only family at the historic haywood hall. the ceremony was so intimate and relaxed. you could feel the emotion and love from every member of the family. after the ceremony friends and family gathered for an elegant dinner followed by a grand dance party!
stacy has the most amazing eyes.

love stacy's ring. it is so unique, it is so stacy!

brent is one of the nicest and most thoughtful grooms ever!

i love the back of her dress.

the vines growing up the front of haywood hall are spectacular.

the happy couple. can you believe they do not think that they are photogenic?
thanks brent and stacy for letting us share your day! we had a great time. best of luck in cali!
travel: hotlanta
whew, we just got back from good ole hotlanta. we were there for the 1 day, 2 ways workshop. nate kaiser, from the image is found, and susan stripling formed the dynamic duo that lead us through the streets of a.t.l. with cameras and light sticks in tow.
we started the morning at the gorgeous and hip loft of the almasys.

whoa, who is that with that shootsac? it is mel with straight hair! i think we need a custom cover for whitebox.

susan and nate tag team shooting jesse from our labor of love.

susan shooting mel.

this is not a crime scene photo. it is susan getting into position to shoot our group shot!

here are a couple of shots testing out our new skills. this is tania lezak. below tania is rebecca peters from kansas city. both are awesome photographers and super cool girls!

here is a shot of melanie by tania and one of me by rebecca.

the four of us all happy and giddy from workshop fever!

a group shot that susan composed. i love it! i feel like i am in a kickin' rock band!
nate's 1 day,2 ways class photo.

and just for fun...this is mel, nate and i at a crazy restaurant called pitty pat's porch. you just have to go there to understand!
loveShoot: nicole + raul
at long last, I'm finally posting nicole + raul's loveShoot from NYC!
her ring is amazing!!!
we headed out to coney island which ended up being closed. it was also at least 20 degrees colder there than in brooklyn, but we had a good time anyway!
they have some awesome jeans!
raul might kill me for posting these :)

into the city!
raul works on wall street so we thought this shot would be fun

one last shot for mom :)
thanks guys! we had a blast!
